Earrings

I have recently been on a hunt for cute unusual earrings to wear for summer. I found that Urban Outfitters has a lot of what I'm looking for. If you're looking for earrings that are not like the usual items that you find in stores, then Urban is the place for you. They sell a lot of different items that are unusual, funny, or romantic style. Their pricing can be reasonable if you search for the great deals. In this case, earrings won't be out of my price range so I found things that would satisfy my craving.
These were my favorite pair of earrings that I stumbled upon because of how adorable the owls looked. These little gems are priced at $14.00.
I absolutely fell in love with these feather earrings just because they look so elegant on. The colors really look great in any hair color and it brings the eye to the face. These were priced at $20.00.
I thought these were quite cute because of the style of the earring. The nautical button like earrings cost $12.00.
I thought that these earrings were just hilarious, and they are on sale only online right now for $12.00.

These bicycle earrings were marked down to $12.00. I love how quirky they are because you wouldn't normally see people wearing earrings like these.

If you're in the mood for a funky pair of earrings, Urban Outfitters is the perfect store for you. Not only do they have funky earrings, but their whole store is filled with unusual items. I hope you find that perfect pair of earrings.

American Apparel

If you're into a more funky type of style, American Apparel is for you. They have many different unique things that make their clothes different from everyone else. I've found that they have a lot of antique and vintage items that people would normally see on the streets and not want, but they show how to pair it with clothing items to make it work as an outfit. I feel that a lot of their clothing is too risky for my type of style, but when I see others wearing their items, I'm drawn to their look. The most common thing for people to purchase through American Apparel is their T-shirts and Sweaters because they are plain, with no designs and can go with anything. I personally have a cranberry Sweatshirt and a black cotton dress from them. The one thing that I found interesting was that they have T-shirts that change color when body heat is applied, which no other clothing company has. Like I said, all of their items are very unique. They also have a wholesale American Apparel where you can print on the blank shirts, sweaters, and tank tops. They sell all their items for much cheaper on their wholesale website, and it made people who have their own company's have a great outlet to well made shirts, sweaters, and tank tops so that they can print their own name on them. District lines(an online company) uses American Apparel items for their own printing and I have found that every shirt I've bought has been of high quality. If you're considering either printing your own designs, or adding unique clothing to your wardrobe, look at what American Apparel has to offer you.

CHIFFON SPLIT-SLEEVE SMOCKED-WAIST DRESS
This dress was originally $59.99 and now is priced at $39.99. The floral print can go casual or dressy, depending on the jewelry and shoes. The soft material will make for a great dress on any body type.

SHORT-SLEEVE MILITARY SHIRT DRESS
This dress was originally $69.99 and it's now $39.99. The military style really makes it nice for casual wear, but it can also be dressed up for a dinner date or a night out on the town.

As you can see, Express is having a giant sale on the items that were originally much more expensive. Dresses are great for the summertime heat, and can really make you look more sophisticated rather than walking around in shorts and a tank top. If you want a great date night dress, I recommend Express. The sales are great, but don't forget to dig for them.

MAXX FINDS!

TJ Maxx is another great store that you can find designer items for less. I was browsing the website and they have stories that customers send in to talk about their great finds. The items I found while shopping around at the store had great deals on them, but these customer stories really prove my point. The price difference is amazing, and most of the items in the store have designer labels on them, so you are sure to have great quality items.
This Week End tote was regularly $79.99 and the customer got it for $39.99!
This Calvin Klein dress was regularly $118.99 and was on sale for $39.99! Isn't that a steal?

This leather bag was regularly $138.99, and the customer bought it for $29.99. That's not even close to the same amount the designer wanted for it. The bag next to this one is a Badgley Mischka Handbag that was priced originally at $489.00, and TJ Maxx had it on sale for $199.00. Again, the prices are incredible.

This top from Nordstrom's regularly costs $83.00, but the customer bought it for $28.00. The difference in price is amazing!

Fashion Photoshoots

In my free time, I do photoshoots of people for their graduation, family pictures, or even just for fun. I recently did a photoshoot of one of the girls that I felt had a high sense of fashion. Rachel Ellam is an 18 year old from San Jose, California, who gets most of her clothing from Forever 21, American Apparel, and Urban Outfitters. I was sparked with an idea to do a shoot of what she normally wears day to day, with a little drama added, and see how the public responded upon posting the photographs. So, here you are public. What do you think of her fashion sense?
Here Rachel's dress is from Forever 21, her tights are from Target, and her boots are from a garage sale. She was able to get this outfit for very cheap, and yet it looks fabulous.

Rachel is wearing shorts from American Apparel, blouse from Forever 21, jacket from American Apparel, and shoes from TOMs. Her fedora was borrowed from a friend. This time, her outfit was a little bit more pricey, but it has a great amount of drama, just with pairing up unlikely clothing.

In this photograph, Rachel is wearing a tube top from Target and shorts from American Apparel. Her hair tie is from Urban Outfitters. This unusual pair actually worked well for the shot.

In this shot, Rachel is wearing a tube top from Target.

Rachel's fedora was borrowed from a friend but her black high-waisted shorts are from American Apparel, her lace top is from Forever 21, her tube top is from Target, and her boots are from a garage sale. The outfit goes together nicely.

Same clothing as the caption above.
As you can see, shoppers, you can buy many different items of clothing and pair them together in unusual ways to create a trend. Though she did not purchase any of these items to wear together, we pieced them nicely to create great shapes and colors. Don't be afraid to mix and match with your clothing, you never know what you can create. Think of your clothes as the paint on a canvas; the colors can go together when you think they might not. Taking out a color wheel can also help you mix and match clothing items to pair together.

You can use the colors that cross eachother, are directly next to eachother or are in the same quadrants.

Marshalls

Department stores are sometimes overrated, and going into designers shops can be a drag because the prices are so high, but I found that Marshall's really does a great job at taking designer and making it affordable. I know it's hard to find great deals, but like I always say, you need to dig for the great stuff. At Marshall's, there are so many options, it's sickening. I went into the store for 3 hours with some friends and tried on dress after dress, trying to find the perfect one, and couldn't even decide, because my options were too big. They carry huge name brands like Coach, Tommy Hilfiger, Guess, and more...
The deals on each item is amazing and they always tell you what the item is originally priced at, and what they marked it down to.
I was trying to find a pair of flip flops, inspired by the guess sandals:
Guess sandals vs. My sandals
I ended up finding a pair that was just like it, just a little bit different from Steve Madden, and they actually ended up being more comfortable and only $20.00 on sale at Marshalls. The designers rack up their prices so that you will buy their items, but Marshall's really does have great deals for whatever you're looking for, and you'll still have the designer labels.

Happy Shopping everyone!

GAP

The Gap just happens to be my favorite store to shop at, and upon going there just a few weeks ago, I ran into a great bargain. I was looking for a new pair of jeans, and I usually browse the store for a while, but they had a huge display saying there was a huge sale going on. I immediately picked up a pair of straight legged jeans and found the perfect pair. The jeans were priced at $79.99, but I got them on sale for $48.00. Then i tried on some of their tops and ended up leaving with a nice cardigan type jacket that was priced at $69.99, and I got it for $14.00. It was a steal! I find that if you shop carefully, and really look for a bargain, you can leave with more things for less. It takes time to look around shops to look for their sales, but in the end, the hunting is worth it. That's why it's called bargain hunting; you truly have to hunt.
Another piece of advice: try on the items you are hoping to purchase, even if you think it's going to fit you nicely. You never know if a piece of clothing is going to fit you perfectly or not, and it could possibly hang on you weird, and you end up not wearing it. So try on before the purchase; the time waiting is worth it.
I hope you all find great bargains out there! Happy shopping!
